Hi, I’m Mo. Nice to meet you.
I'm a Front-End Developer at Quod Orbis who is solely responsible for the UI of our Continuous Controls Monitoring web application which serves many major companies such as Direct Line Group and Nationwide Bank. I have been the sole frontend developer of the platform since it's genesis nearly two years ago and I'm extremely proud of how far we have come. I was also responsible for rebuilding our company website to its sleek design today. Other than my frontend responsibilities I also help maintain our engine's which are written in GO for our customer environments. I also work a lot with MySQL to maintain and update our customer databases. Working in a startup environment means I’m used to short deadlines and fast paced development cycles.
HTML
HTML was my introduction into coding and understanding it fairly quickly gave me the confidence to learn more.
CSS
CSS went from being my weakest to my strongest language with a lot of practice, I now take a lot of pride in the aesthetics of my websites and UI's.
JavaScript
Js is definitely the language I've spent the most time on and the more I learn the more I realise there is to learn and I look forward to the ongoing journey of improving.
React
React is my favourite tool to use while creating a dynamic website, I particularly enjoy JSX as it is a lot smoother than manipulating the DOM in vanilla JS.
SASS
SCSS has made to process of styling my projects a lot more efficient as now I easily reuse components such as buttons and cards I've created for other projects.
GO
Go is the language I use at work, However the majority of code I write is written using Go Buffalo where I populate the frontend using libraries such as plush.
My Work
Personal Projects
